Kings and Queens

My personal hero at the premilaries for Carnival Kings and Queens in Port of Spain on Thursday was definately Randolf Moore with an hillarious costume called 'The Monkey On The Alligator's Back' . You can't make this stuff up. I hope to see him again in the next few days, I want to photograph him again.

I also liked all the ladies carrying the number signs, too bad they where not competing for the Queens title.

Brian Mac Farlane's huge sailor from ‘Dance and Rejoice’ was struggeling to get off the stage, but what a job Jhawhan Thomas did, who portrayed the costume on stilts !

Peter Minshall's 'Son of Saga Boy' was great, so was his Queen, a huge replica of Wendy Fitzwilliams, the former Miss Universe from Trinidad. Images of that costume and Saga Boy's Son in a later post. Another larger then life costume is patiently waiting in the parking lot...turned out to be the leading costume at the preliminaries. It is ‘Out of Depths’ portrayed by multiple King of Carnival Curtis Eustace....

...while these two young men will be back for more at next weeks semi final.

A football queen is on view here...
