Leroy Clarke

In mid February I was invited by the artist Leroy Clarke to visit him in his country house in the mountains of Trinidad’s Northern Range. Leroy Clarke is considered to be one of the best contemporary artists of Trinidad and Tobago. He is one of only two artists (next to the Sculptor Dr. Raph Baney) named ‘Master Artist’ by the National Museum and Art Gallery of Trinidad and Tobago. He was also awarded the title ‘Chief Ifa Oje Won Yomi Abiodun’ by the Orisha Community.
