A Coney Island Photo Dance with Makeda Thomas

New York/Trinidad choreographer and dancer Makeda Thomas turned our photo shoot from last summer in Coney Island into a photo dance video. It works really well, also thanks to the great music: Oya O by Raw Artistic Soul featuring Wunmi. The images are straight from the camera, untreated so to speak. More about the day with Makeda here

Tuesdae

Shooting a 'Lower East Side bar hopping story' with the lovely DJ/Singer/Playboy Model Tuesdae (www.tuesdae.com) for German Booklet Magazine was one of these memorable assignments that I could do 7 days a week. I met her and husband Brady Wills on their friend's roof top before we descended to places like the Lucky Chen and Arlene's Grocery, where Tuesdae took the stage with an amazing karaoke show accompanied by a live band.

Elvis

The German magazine HörZu sent me to Memphis a few weeks ago to shoot an editorial on Elvis impersonators at the Image of the King Contest. Along came the magazine's editor Martin Haeusler.

Our main focus for the story was on Oliver 'The Echo of Elvis' Steinhoff (http://www.echo-of-elvis.com/), an excellent Elvis from Germany, shown here with two admirer-esses...who came in all ages and who easily outnumbered the contestants and there were many.
One of my favorites, Toki Toyokazu (below) from Japan, did not speak a word of English, but managed to announce on stage: 'I not speak English, I sing Elvis'.

The 2006 World Champion is:
Franz Goovaerts 'Elvis Jr.' from Belgium !!!
