Communication Arts Award of Excellence 2025

 

My work got the attention of Communication Arts in 2021 and again earlier this year; now both of my two self-published New York books have received CA's Award of Excellence and photos from the books were published in their Photography Annual 62 and 66 (see below). Communication Arts is the largest international trade journal of visual communication.  All this makes me a very happy  German-American New York photographer !! Two new Awards !!

AMERICAN PHOTOGRAPHY and COMMUNICATION ARTS   awarded photos from my latest book "Reflecting New York", for which I photographed locations in my chosen hometown with a handheld mirror ... I am very grateful and honored to receive these awards !!

My previous book "Keep Going New York !!" received the same honors in 2021. I self-published both books on the 'print on demand' platform blurb.com, New York culture journalist Claudia Steinberg wrote the introductions to both books. A new solo exhibition with photos from my self published book

Keep Going New York !!

opened at

Deutsches Haus at NYU 

in New York City !!

For now, according to NYU Covid guidelines, this exhibition will only be open 

to NYU students, staff, and faculty, but the photographs will remain on display 

until the guidelines change. 

So, instead of a public opening 

we will eventually have a public closing event 

sometime in the future. Meanwhile Deutsches Haus will present a virtual artist talk between journalist Claudia Steinberg and myself, to be announced 

soon. I will keep you posted.
