LaCie no more
When my first 250 GB LaCie external hard drive crashed after about a year or so, I went to buy an even bigger one, the 500 GB. Having learned my lesson from the first desaster, I got a second one a week later, as back up. Lucky me, because the first one crashed after a year or so. They (at Tekserve, NY) even had an explanation for it, like why the LaCie dies faster than others, I don't care, why make them, is my question. Now a 500 GB 'Glyph' and the old LaCie stare at each other on my desk and I don't want to know which one crashes first. The Glyph at least has a 3 year warranty....and yes, I burn DVDs as a second back up !
