I photographed French-born American artist and sculptor Louise Bourgeois at her home in New York City in 2007 by invitation of curator Martin Kunz. In the image above she is holding a photograph (detail) of her which was shot by photographer Robert Mapplethorpe in 1982.
Louise Bourgeois died in Manhattan on May 31, 2010 at the age of 98.
