John Langan, the Stephen King of the Catskills
A few weeks ago I was on a great assignment for French Le Point magazine, published in the current issue (via LAIF/REA). I am quoting from the magazine: The American writer John Langan, Stephen King’s heir, with his book “The Fisherman”, explores a 'black ocean' hidden in the Catskills, the place of his childhood, where the dead find a second life. A masterpiece of horror.

I loved working in the Catskills and living in New York City, the opportunity to spend a few days upstate is always welcomed. The wild scenery and the picturesque towns are a matching character in John's book, which I am only now beginning to read since there was not enough time before the assignment. I am not a fan of horror books , but having met John, I am intrigued to learn more about his work !! |
