A small world it is. Yesterday I ran into Frank 'Franky' Feuer at the annual ‘Karneval der Kulturen’ (Carnival of the Cultures) in Berlin. He is the founder of the ‘Soca Twins’, consisting of Franky and Boone. Together they mix and promote ‘Germany’s leading Soca Sound’. I first met them in Port of Spain/Trinidad earlier this year, so it was a pleasant surprise to see them here again, joining a large crowd of Trinidad & Tobago supporters following a disappointingly small truck in the parade. With Franky and Boone were Tracy D and Choko from Trinidad, who just came to Berlin from a Scandinavian festival to work with the Soca Twins.
Please check out their website www.socatwins.com for their upcoming shows, like the ones in Frankfurt June 11. and 16., where they will perform with top Soca acts Machel Montano, Rupee and Alison Hinds in support of Trinidad and Tobago's national football team, the Soca Warriors, during the 2006 World Cup.
