Artist Anish Kapoor's Sky Mirror at Rockefeller Center is a pleasant surprise amongst other daily surprises in New York. This monumental sculpture stands at the Fifth Avenue entrance to the Channel Gardens, it's 35-foot-diameter concave mirror made of polished stainless steel. It will only be there from September 19th through October 27th, 2006.

Naturally, it has two sides, but I concentrated on the back of the mirror today, since the grey sky made it's front look like just another giant satelite dish. I am sure it will look fabulous under different conditions.
