I am finally back in Brooklyn, after a very long journey to South Africa, Germany and finally France, where I went for the VISA POUR L'IMAGE photo festival in Perpignan. I have probably been there 10 times over the years, this was their 20 st anniversary and it is always worth the trip, especially because I get to see photographers and photo editors and editors of my agency LAIF whom I would otherwise not be able to visit during the year. The festival has become THE annual meeting point for the industry. Please read Berverly Spicer's report on The Digital Journalist blog.
My images of "Camp Hope", a story about homeless people near Los Angeles, were shown Thursday during the evening screening.
